Inspiration

First of all, I can’t do very much or go very far without my faith, and this being placed firmly in the God as revealed in the Bible. It really means everything to me, or rather, this God does, who seems to have made Himself known to me. I write this only to share the source of my strength, perserverance, and endurance, and that I simply do not do these projects on my own.

Secondly, I write simply, and with what I believe to be more or less the beginning, in my experience and interpretation. With that said, I feel as if the LORD gives me different verses at different times, and the following is one of the very first ‘gifts’:

“28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” ~~ Matthew 11:28-30

What a relief! In a world that is so busy and stressful, where there is so much work to do and not nearly enough time, Someone speaks of rest. Also, not just any kind of rest mind you, but rest for our very souls. It was quite a change for me at that time, many years ago, to accept the concept of rest for my soul. To have Someone who gives me my work, my purpose, and to do only that; to learn to live and love with gentleness and kindness, as He does, and be only like that. Yes, I have experienced this rest and this peace, and it is indeed a lovely place to be.
