Kale typically grows 20-40 cm tall and 20-40 cm wide, but can grow much larger if not trimmed back. The smooth leaves with ruffled edges are light to dark green, with a mild flavor. Kale is a biennial, meaning that it will produce small, yellow flowers in its second year.
Seed outdoors from March until the end of August. Lightly cover seeds with soil; keep moist. Space 20-40 cm apart for best growth. Moderate water. Full sun to partial shade.
Biennial. Attracts beneficial insects.
