Sweet Basil — Ocimum basilicum — 100+ Seeds

This variety of basil is very aromatic, flavorful, and sweet. It grows quickly to a height of 30-40 cm and a width of 15-30 cm, and does well in containers, indoors, or outdoors in the garden. The leaves are light green and the flowers are white. Pinch off the flowers for more leaf growth.

Start seeds indoors in April; transplant or seed outdoors in May and June. Basil requires warm soil to grow well. Lightly cover seeds with soil; keep moist. Space 15-30 cm apart. Moderate water. Full sun.
